We process information to: provide access after purchase; authenticate readers; process payments; resume reading; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with law; respond to support requests; and improve reliability.

We do not use reading progress for advertising profiling.

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on **contract** (delivering purchased access), **legitimate interests** (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), **consent** where required, and **legal obligation**.

We use service providers including **Clerk** (authentication), **Stripe** (payments), **hosting/database** (e.g., Vercel, Neon/PostgreSQL), and **email** (e.g., Resend) when configured.

We retain account, entitlement, and order records as long as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize per internal schedules.

Reading progress is retained while your account is active unless you request deletion subject to technical limits.
